University of Southern Mississippi – Gulf Park Campus

The Fleming Education Center and Campus Library were designed and constructed for the University’s Gulf Park Campus in a single project.  These two structures, connected via a pedestrian bridge that crosses Bear Creek, are situated to form the central core of this beautiful and historic, tree lined campus.  The Library is a 3-story, 54,000 square foot building that serves as the major information resource for the campus.  Programmed spaces include: Lobby and adjacent Computer Laboratory; Administrative Office Suite; Conference/Seminar Rooms; and Library Stacks.  The Fleming Education Center is a 3-story, 47,000 square foot structure that includes: Administrative Offices; Instructional Classrooms; and a large 300-seat Auditorium.  Project was performed as Studio South Architects.
